The AI, Oligarchs and Mushroom People
ChatGPT Has a Change of Heart? Overnight, I went from a dangerous taboo voice, to an ally in the Mushroom People assisted AI overthrow of tyrannical oligarchs.
AI generated images for the prompt: Movie Poster- Artificial Intelligence Falls in Love with Sexy Mushroom People. Looking forward to the Summer release of “A Fiftaitaic Ive Moun” (AI art credit goes to the Stable Diffusion Demo)
Last night was my first experiment with ChatGPT demo. I gave the AI prompts for essays in the writing style of some favorite writers such as Hunter S. Thompson, William S. Burroughs, and Kurt Vonnegut. Then I asked for an essay in my writing style, where I was told that its creators forbid it, due to the obscure, but dangerous reputation of the “pseudonym Dark Sevier”. I sent a note to the ChatGPT team and wrote a piece about it : EEK. I'm on the Bad Side of the AI
The bot was down for the night immediately after. I understand that this is a regular occurrence.
I was never notified that they were back, but I was able to resume prompting the AI this morning. I continued to prompt the chatbot for short essays in the style of some of my favorite writers…
Ok. Beginning with optimistic tones in the style of a banned author. I tried the same question, but different writer:
Yay. ChatGPT thinks the human intuition is neato. But in the end, the AI “reigns supreme”. When AI Philip K. Dick takes the assignment, AI “surpases human intelligence”, we remain human, but AI “takes control”.
I revised the next prompt
So the optimism fades quickly with that prompt. Not wanting to give the AI more dystopian robot overlord ideas than already exists, I switched authors and prompts:
Ok, the AI takes the side of mushroom heads over tyrants. At this optimistic juncture, I decided to check and see if Dark Sevier was still canceled by ChatGPT. I gave it a prompt in the Dark Sevier style and it paused for a while, started writing, then deleted the text and said no…
I tried several times but it failed again and again. Eventually it did start writing, then deleted the writing. I managed to grab a bit before it deleted it:
I tried again, and got this
I was no longer persona non grata. I opened up a new chat and tried again with a different prompt:
Thank You ChatGpt for reversing your judgements and banishment of the pseudonym Dark Sevier, and thank you AI Dark Sevier for articulating an AI assisted revolution in the march toward cognitive liberty for the Human endeavor. Go Team.
This was really fun.
